After nearly twenty years as an associate pastor at Warehouse Christian Ministries in Sacramento, California, Pastor Roger Keskeys, along with his wife Deanna, felt led to start a fellowship in Stockton in 1990. Pastor Roger stepped out in faith and began teaching a home Bible Study in Lodi, California with ten other believers. The people began to pray that God would open doors of ministry to the people of Stockton. After nearly two years, God abundantly provided a rent-free facility and generous donations for the church to begin meeting for Sunday services. Thus, on October 20, 1991 Warehouse Ministries South opened its doors. In 1996, after moving to a new location in north Stockton, Warehouse Ministries South changed its name to Calvary Chapel Stockton. Having always been affiliated with Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, the name change came easily. The church has grown steadily over years and has helped hundreds of people develop their personal relationships with the Lord and Savior Jesus through the teaching of God’s Word, home Bible Studies, outreach and opportunities for fellowship and friendship. Calvary Chapel Stockton continues building a fellowship of authentic and loving Christians who, with compassion, reach out and tell others the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
